Bio

Jay-T (real name Jimmy Thembakako) is an artist from Malalwi. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Hidden Talent Entertainment. His career as an artist started off in 2008 when he joined a music group called Black-Agon. Other members were his cousin Khuzie-B and Manton.

In 2009, he left the group and decided to go solo. This saw him releasing a single titled ‘Mkazi Wanga’. the song was produced by Aimor of the Nameless. This was followed by ‘Tsiku ndi Tsiku’. The song had an appearance from popular artists such as Pilgrim, Ray-mo and Kumbu. He also released a video for the song which was well-received and played on MBC TV's youth programmes.

In 2010, he released a ten-track album titled ‘The Unknown’. It featured artists such 3rd Eye, Pilgrim, Gwamba, Young Luv, Rina and Dizzo.

He also promotes and manages a number of artists in a variety of genres ranging from RnB, hip-hop, dancehall and gospel.
