Jeff Kaira

Jeff Kaira is a rap musician from Malawi. He became known in the country's music industry in 1993. In the same year, he joined a music group called Boyz Lazzy. His music is sung in English, Malawian and Zambian languages. It has elements of reggae, house music, rap and jazz genres. It is a fusion of vocal and natural seed sounds mixed with western instrumentation.

He drew his passion for music from artists such as Beres Hammond, Maxi Priest, Tracy Chapman, Hugh Masekela and Sting. He is not signed to any record label.

The group was formed prior to winning a rap competition that was organized by UNICEF Malawi. As a group, they released one album. After two years, the group disbanded .
