Kaybee Rex

Xolani Phakathi is well known as "Kaybee Rex" is a versatile rapper,song writer & a producer from Mpumalanga, small town named Standerton now currently based in Johannesburg.His music inspiration comes from the likes of  his dad,Kanye West, Dr Dre,2 Pac and AkA to mention few. He started writing music when he was still in primary school and started making beats at High School. He was raised in a musical environment, his mother was a choral singer since 1999 until 2021 when she gave birth to Kaybee Rex's little brother. To continue with his dad was also known as a  kwaito producer in his street but he past away when Kaybee Rex was 4 years old "I was about to turn 5 in couple of days when his father past away". Inspiration behind his name,"Kaybee" is a tribulation for his friend who was Karabo who past away when they were young. "Rex" that is his mother's surname appreciating her that no matter what he is doing in life if someone says Rex he/she will remind him of his mother. Kaybee Rex is a promising versatile rapper, song writer and a producer in the music industry.
