Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE)

This is a semi-autonomous agency of the Kenya Ministry of Education, founded in 1986, and supported by UNESCO. It specializes in training primary teachers to work with physically disabled children, youth and adults.
Work is also carried out at St Paul’s College Nyabururu, Kisii.

Programme detail: Teacher Training Certificate. One year by distance mode, or three months full-time. A music program is available. Pre-requisites: Completion of secondary education completion of two years of primary teacher training, and at least one year of teaching experience. Teacher Training Diploma. Two years. A program in music is available.
