Bio
Klint (born Clinton Mbwette) is a Tanzanian artist, creative and media personality.
He began his music career under a record label called M-Lab Records (Music Lab) in 2011, earning his first recording deal after winning a rap contest, organized in celebration of the label’s 3 year anniversary.
In 2016 Klint orchestrated a group of alternative artists called ‘Tema-Yai Nation’ who predominantly craft their music by fusing Kiswahili and English languages in their lyrics. The group enjoyed wide success on digital platforms, most notably “Soundcloud”, hence sparking a “new wave” of Tanzanian bilingual music.
As a media personality, Klint worked at TBC international in (2019), where he hosted his self-produced show called "The Jam Show", an evening drive show that covered a wide range of themes including life, travel, popular culture & music.
In 2020 Klint launched his self-titled trademark “Brrdan” as an extension of his music and art. “Brrdan” is a trippy way of saying “Burudani” which is Swahili for “entertainment”. The “Brrdan” brand features a wide range of merchandise such as t-shirts, snapbacks, hoodies, water bottles, and more.
Klint has released several solo tracks such as "Burudani" (2020) ft Countrywizzy & Jaymoe, “Bongo Freestyle” (2021), "Mdogo Mdogo" (2021), "Slide" (2021) & "X" ft Gosby (2022). He continues to do well as an independent artist who is truly a force to be reckoned with.
