Les Diplomatique

Les Diplomatique is a Zambian duo that was founded in 2014. The outfit is made up of Jesse Nsofu and Amory "Magnifire" Kapufi. The duo are spoken word artists, poets and musicians. Jesse and Amory met at a cypha in 2011 when they discovered that they had similar hip-hop interests. They started off as Nkonto, a bemba word for rod or staff, symbolic of leadership but later settled for the Les Diplomatique. They launched their music careers in April 2015. They started off as independent artists but later signed to Brave Only Music.

With backgrounds in rap music, their music is influenced by artists such as Common, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Lecrae, Brooke Young, Carvens Lissaint and many others. Their music is a fusiion of jazz, hip-hop, floetry, soul, house and Afro-pop. They earned a household name through a song called 'Something Beautiful '.
