Music Associations Alliance of Kenya

Bio

Music Associations Alliance of Kenya is a non-profit industry organization registered by the government as an alliance body for music associations in Kenya to promote the interests of songwriters, musicians, managers, publishers, record labels, producers of sound recordings, and promoters. We are also involved in policy making to deal with issues impacting the industry, engaging in high level political lobbying to ensure any new legislation benefits our members.

Our objectives:

To act as an alliance of music associations in Kenya, and other related entities thereon and represent their interests thereof.
To safeguard and promote the interests of the associations of musicians, authors, publishers and producers of music and the writers signed to them.
To represent the interests of musicians and music associations to government, the music industry, the media and the public.
To provide musicians with a forum, a collective voice and a wide range of benefits, services and training courses.
To promote an understanding of the value of music and the importance of copyright.
To provide information and guidance to members of the public.
To empower the music entrepreneurs with business development skills and mentorship.
To perform the function and exercise the powers designated for Societies under the applicable law for the benefit of young Kenyans in Kenya.
