Power FM Zimbabwe

Power FM Zimbabwe is a radio station owned by the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC). The station is credited for pioneering the urban grooves music under the 75% local content banner. It was formerly called Radio 3 but in 2000 it went through a change that was bent on promoting local content.

Its targets are the youth and plays Euro-pop, funk, rap, reggae and rock music. In 2008, it became the first radio station to have a 24-hour marathon broadcast on HIV and AIDS. Veteran producer / presenter Leander Kandiero, broadcasted for 24 hours at the same time fasting for the cause of those living with the pandemic. This became an opportunity for Zimbabweans to reflect and talk about the virus. In 2011 and 2013, it was voted super brand of the year.

According to the 2013 Zimbabwe All Media Products (ZAMPS), the station was still at the summit in terms of listenership.
