Rufta Video/Film Production, located in Asmara, Eritrea, is a media production and distribution business. It was established in 2003 by Biniam Zeru, a movie pioneer, as a home-based mini-studio.

Being a competitive business in today’s global media market, Rufta has a clear vision to create and present quality media products, especially movies, composed of the core cultural messages of Eritrea to best meet the media product needs in maintaining a well balanced society of the country. Rufta also works hard to fulfill the demands of the country in using different media products to educate and entertain children and teenagers. In general, Rufta mainly aims at strengthening the efforts and supporting the activities, of those individuals and organizations continuously working on conserving the different cultures of Eritrea and on educating/entertaining children and teenagers.

To achieve its vision, Rufta devotes itself at accomplishing its mission mainly by continuously creating and distributing alluring and reflective media products, usually movies, across the global market. To produce such media products, Rufta initiates and carries out viable projects composed of Video/Film Production and Desktop Publishing.

Moreover, Rufta over the past ten years, worked very hard to create an organization that manages the creativity of individuals and the use of appropriate technologies in producing and distributing media products. That is, it has been and is still employing different professionals based on their areas of expertise in its own projects so as to produce its own quality products. And also, it was and is making a great advantage of today’s and emerging technologies of graphics and video/film production, distribution and other related media works.
