Sam Maseya
Bio
Based in Lephalale, Limpopo province, South Africa, Samuel Maseya is a bass player, singer, songwriter, and producer. His music blends elements of Afropop and Afro-jazz.
Maseya is the founder of Matshepho Band and Matshepho Production company. Through these ventures, he helps clients express their narratives through music projects while also providing a platform for upcoming musicians in the community to share their stories through music.
His love for music started at a young age and was inspired by a relative who used to visit his grandmother’s house with his guitar ,also his uncle had music instruments and had a Rastafarian band that use to jam in his grandmother’s house. That’s how he was exposed to music.
He produced and wrote ,co-write Matshepho band projects (Confidence), Zanele’s project(Uyabusa), Christina’s Project (Uthembekile) and his new single (Lerato lapa Pelo).
