Siseko Pame

Siseko complements his vocal rendition with his mesmerizing sound of his violin which has become the centrepiece of artistic and music delivery.

Born and raised in East London, in the Eastern Cape, Siseko Pame is a musician who’s vocal texture and excellent skill of writing and presentation commands attention.

Siseko’s dynamic warm personality and singing sensation possesses a great stage presence and performance that keeps the audience in admiration. Like many others, he started singing at a young age at church and that is where his love for music grew stronger. Siseko Pame’s versatile and variable voice is evident in how he transcents between Ethno-Soul laced, with Xhosa folk-tuned harmonies that are soulful yet rhythmic and jazzy at the same time. A skilful vocalist with an emotive earthy voice that possesses a soothing, breathy and husky tonality, Siseko Pame makes singing sound so easy. A smooth mid-range voice, with occasional high register when circumstances demand so, is his signature vocal trait. Siseko Pame’s brilliant enunciation of his story telling using what he knows best, his voice and weaved nicely by Xhosa traditional interludes. Siseko Pame, who also doubles up as a violinist, has also played for orchestras in East London including The East London Classical Players’ Orchestra in 2004 and The TACC Youth Orchestra. He is a well experienced stage performer and has released his first debut album in 2017 and won the SAMA24 for Best Adult African Contemporary Music Album as well as a provincial award for recognition of his national award at the 2019 Eastern Cape MEC Awards.

This SAMA awarded musician also runs his own theatre production and workshops to address social ills including Substance Abuse, Sexual Violence and GBV through music and dialogue.
