TOSHI TIKOLO

Toshi Tikolo is a multi-talented artist hailing from Kwalanga Township, Cape Town, with roots in the Eastern Cape, Lady Frere kumaQhashu. Born as an intelligent and humble woman, Toshi attributes much of her upbringing to her grandmother. Her journey into the world of music began at the age of 6 when she fell in love with the art, having her first experience with a guitarist.

Toshi is not just a singer; she is a presenter, actress, composer, poet, scriptwriter, guitarist, and songwriter. Currently signed to Tosherian Entertainment Productions, she released her debut album, "Ubuhle bendalo," in 2017.

Notable Works:
The mere mention of the soundtrack "BUYA" by Black Coffee featuring Toshi gets house music fans on their feet. The single has dominated radio airwaves since its release, earning rave reviews. Toshi's collaboration with Black Coffee was part of the acclaimed "Music Is King" project in 2015.

Production, Compilation, and Collaboration Accolades:
Toshi's versatility shines through in her collaborations with international artists, earning her a place in prestigious rankings, including The Traxsource top 200 tracks of 2018. Her work with artists such as Armonica (Italy), Black Motion (RSA), Afro Warriors (Portugal), and more, showcases her influence in the Afro House scene.

Being part of the Music Is King project with Black Coffee in 2015 remains one of Toshi's greatest achievements.

Performances:
Toshi's stage presence has graced various platforms, from the Miriam Makeba Repertoire at Rivetts Hilton Hotel in Durban to the Macufe Festival and the Cape Town International Jazz Festival. She has also been featured in recordings like the Africa Rising live DVD by Black Coffee featuring Toshi Johannesburg Orchestra.
