WARRIORS FROM THE EAST BAND (The Maasai Warriors)

Warriors from the East Band, We are a 5 Times Award winning Band in Tanzania. Including TMA awards 2023, (KTMA) Tanzanian Kilimajaro Music awards 2012, as The Best Reggae Band, 2013 Best Reggae Song and 2015  as the the Best Band. Kukayemoto Music Awards 2021 & 2022 We won The Best Reggae Band.

Our style of music is a mixture of Traditional African Maasai melodies, with blues,jazz reggae, Dancehall, and rock. We call it 'The Nile Blues" Blues Music from the banks of River Nile,from the tribes that lived along the Nile like the Maasai,and Luo, We combine acoustic guitars with a range of African percussion musical instruments like Adungu from  Uganda, Nyatiti from Kenya and Marimba from Tanzania and Kraal from Ethiopia.  Modern western instruments such as electric guitars, keyboard, saxophone, and trumpet and drum set.

Nile Blues Music is a mixture of African blues and jazz melodies originated from the tribes a long the banks of River Nile, including all East African Tribes and other parts of Africa. The oldest recollection and drawings of these instruments are found in the Pyramids of Egypt and Sudan in Nubian Kingdom. This is the music that built the pyramids. The makers of these instruments are the builders of the Pyramids.

.So far, we have produced Two Albums of Nile Blues music, which are Nile Blues Volume One (Africa is home) with 13 songs and Nile Blues Volume Two (Mother of the Nile) with 13songs. In these two Albums you will get to listen the most unique African melodies produced by Indigenous African instruments Like Adungu, Nyatiti, Zeze, Jembe blended in with modern music Instruments like Keyboard, guitars and Saxophone, which makes the Nile blues music most unique and beautiful.

Our mission is to use music as a powerful positive weapon to spread the message of peace, love and unity. AlsoWe are ambassadors of East African Community and Culture and we promote our beautiful culture through our music and presentation.
