Zaituni Wambui

Zaituni Wambui, the pioneer of Urban Taarab is a female singer/songwriter a live- performing artist based in Nairobi. She started singing at an early age, with diverse influences ranging from Bi Malika, Beyonce and Sanaipei Tande. Her sound has evolved over the years leading to a unique blend of contemporary- urban sound featuring Taarab and traditional African Rhythms.
