Dylan Fine

Dylan Fine has emerged as one of South Africa’s most exciting guitarists with a unique sound and musical ability across multiple genres. Graduating from the esteemed South African College of Music at UCT in April 2018 with a degree in Jazz Performance Dylan has gone on to become a regular fixture around the Cape Town Jazz scene collaborating regularly with his peers and elders and is sought after as a composer and songwriter through his work with Beat Sampras.

He is noted for his involvement as a guitarist and composer for The Unity Band one of South Africa’s most exciting young jazz collectives, winning ‘Best Newcomer in Jazz’ at the Mzantsi Jazz Awards and were due to play at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2020 before the national lockdown.

Dylan’s work as a musician and session guitarist has seen him travel to Kenya and Zimbabwe along with all of SA’s major festivals and venues and appear on platinum selling records such as Tellaman’s ‘ Whipped’ along with multiple other album apearences. He has worked with notable South African musicians such as Zoe Modiga, Langa Mavuso, Manana, Dan Shout , Tellaman, Nasty C, Rowlene , Chris Schilder, Jono Sweetman, Buddy Wells.
