Indiegogo

Indiegogo is one of the biggest international crowdfunding web sites. It was founded by Danae Ringelmann, Slava Rubin, and Eric Schell in 2008. It has its headquarters in San Francisco, California. It is one of the first sites to offer crowd source funding. It allows people to ask funds for an idea, charity, or start-up business. A number of music organizations make use of the site to solicit for funds. Komai is one such organization which used the Indiegogo to bankroll its project called Music 4 Malawi.
