Open call: WOMEX 24 showcase, film and conference submissions

WOMEX is committed to diversity and inclusivity and welcomes submissions from all backgrounds. It encourages proposals that contribute to the diversity of the international music scene, encompassing aspects such as culture, region, gender, styles, performance tradition and more.

Each year, the official programme is selected by an independent, international jury known as the Seven Samurai. The jury members for this year will be announced in the coming weeks.

Proposals can be submitted in any of the below four categories:

• Showcase
• Club Summit
• Film
• Conference

Showcase

Successful applicants will perform at the premier global music showcase event in front of international concert and festival bookers, tour promoters and venues, labels, distributors, journalists and industry professionals. Submissions are welcome from all corners of the world including blues, jazz and other genres. Find more about the showcase category here.

Club Summit

WOMEX presents a specialised Club Summit, showcasing DJs and producers from all musical backgrounds and global electronic music scenes. DJs/producers of any genre, medium and background are encouraged to apply and bring their sounds to the world. Find more about the club summit category here.

Film

WOMEX Film provides a platform to connect the international music and film communities by presenting documentaries that portray music, movements and histories from across the world. Filmmakers should apply here to have their feature, medium-length or short film shown at WOMEX. Find more about the film category here.

Conference

WOMEX Conference seeks proposals from representatives of every sector, moving the industry forward by presenting their visions, mapping out ideas and sharing hands-on expertise. Join the conversation and network with peers by submitting a proposal. Find more about the Conference category here.

The deadline for sending proposals for WOMEX 24 is 1 March.
