Bio
Kontihene (Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng) is a hiplife artiste from Ghana. Also called Ohene, he was raised in Kumasi, where he attended Martyrs of Uganda and Opoku Ware Secondary School.
Kontihene plays the saxophone and learned to play the piano early. He was instrumental to the addition of cheer songs to Ghanaian music circles via 'Aketesea', his hit debut. He is said to be the first hiplife act featured by the great Kojo Antwi on his 'Me Die Ne Woa' song. Antwi helped him record his second album, 'Nsoroma' in 2002.
'Sankofa', his seventh album was released in 2016.
