Omid Wisdom

Born in Bakoteh, in The Gambia, Sekou Dibbasey, best known by his stage name Omid Wisdom, is a Gambian hip-hop artist and beat maker. He developed a passion for music at a tender age. Back then, he used to write songs.

In 2000, he joined a group of emcees called La Cosa 'Sunnu Allel' Nostra. The group released mixtapes, albums and compilations. He also featured on The 2005 Afro-lution compilation project alongside Smoke Doctor, Metaphysics, Omzo, Wawesh and X Plastaz.
In 2006, he made an appearance on the 'Phili N Dotz' Newcastle duo's Travel The Globe video representing his homeland The Gambia.

On 30 July 2011, he released a solo effort, Chronicles 101 project entitled ‘The Wisdom Of Testimonies- ‘The Cassette bu Jahaso’ Vol 1. The project started off as a conception which progressed into a weekly radio show at the Paradise FM’ radio station in Kololi.

In 2013, he was featured on the ‘Divine For The God, To The God, From The God’ project alongside artists like Capadonna (Wu Tang Clan), Mc One Line and many more. That same year, he released an eight-track snippet album called ‘Born Free: The Snippet’.
