DOBA bw

DOBA bw ( real name Princess Omaatla Andreck) is a Botswana gospel musician based in Gaborone.

Her music career kicked off as a backing singer at the age of 15 until 2020 when she started her solo career. She has been part of major country gospel groups Jam and In Christ and We Must Praise. While with Jam In Christ she has shared the stage with Joyous Celebration, Benjamin Dube and Juanita Bynum to name a few. She also travelled with the group to Belgium representing Botswana at an Independence Day celebration in Brussels. She has featured in two albums with We Must Praise and is the captivating voice behind songs like The Blood and Amogelang Dipako.

She recorded her maiden album in 2021 at the renowned Braveheart Studios in Gaborone. Her solo project was an independently released in 2022 being an album titled 'Testimony (Live)'. The project was recorded live and has had many well received songs like Trust In the Lord (Live) and Passport (Live). Having worked with country powerhouses like Tshepo Lesole the project showed her experience and versatility with soothing vocal delivery.

The album fuses local dialect of Setswana and English with Jazzy, West African, African Church Praise and many more influences. It leaves listeners feeling refreshed and your heart truly uplifted. She is lauded as one of the most gifted female vocalists in Botswana and the album has had her recognised with nominations for Best Female Gospel Artist at the Botswana Gospel Awards and Best Contemporary Gospel at the Botswana Music Union Awards in 2022.

She is young, artistic and vibrant and always looking forward to collaborating with artists from different countries in Africa.
