With her extensive knowledge of house music, gqom and Kwaito, Avocado comes from Botswana, where she grew up. Quickly becoming known for her smooth mixes, Avocado has turned the heat up on dance floors in Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda and is looking to do the same worldwide.

In May 2022, Avocado graduated from the Santuri Electronic Music Academy in Nairobi where she participated in their Beginner Music Production class. Learners took part in practical training that included collaboration with other artists. The course culminated in each participant presenting a musical project. She is currently working on a self-produced EP album with plans to release it in 2023.

In November 2021, Avocado co-founded Monateng- which in Tswana, means 'a place full of joy', alongside DJ Miss Ray.
Monateng has a bi-monthly installment at 2 Grapes Restaurant in Nairobi.The duo has built a band that includes a saxophonist, bass & lead guitarists and a drummer. The band debuted at the recently concluded Kilifi New Year Festival where they played a 1 hour set over the midnight drop. The two DJs played B2B at the March 2023 edition of Boiler Room, curated by Coco Em.
