Locnville

Locnville (aka LCNVL) is an electro-pop music duo made up of identical twin brothers Andrew and Brian Chaplin. The group was formed in Cape Town in 2009. Their debut studio album, 'Sun In My Pocket', was released in February 2010 and was a major success, reaching No. 1 in South Africa and later winning them the award for best newcomer at the MK Awards. Locnville turned heads at the Midem International Music Conference in Cannes, France in January 2010, sparking interest from international record labels. In May 2010 it was announced that Locnville had signed a worldwide deal with Sony Music International.

Their second album, 'Running To Midnight', was released in July 2011. It was written and recorded over 9 months in Cape Town, the US, and while touring Europe. In 2013 they returned with a new sound, a new ‘LCNVL’ image, a hit called 'Closer' and a new album, 'Faster Longer Mixtape'.

They have established themselves as one of South Africa's most successful pop acts, selling over 100 000 physical albums, winning SAMAs for Best Selling Album and Best Newcomer, touring the world and having their music featured on TV ads by MTN, Playstation, Supersport, as well as EA's top selling FIFA 11 game. In 2013 they released 'Faster Longer Mixtape', 2014 saw the release of a new full-length album, 'The Odyssey'.
