Bio
Based in the U.S, Sylvie Chibiliti is a Zambian born singer whose involvement into the music was prompted by the loss of her parents. She sings gospel and soul music. She draws her music influences from Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Her parents passed on in Botswana where they lived as a family. Years later after being taken in by an American missionary family in Botswana, she moved to the U.S. Her life in that country saw her engaging herself in a number of music activities. Her debut single is ‘Available to You’.
She was the first African to ever make it as a top finalist on American Idol. She later returned to her home country. She is currently working on her debut album. Her music is inspired by life and the people she has met, as well as the feelings she bears.
Her success in music gained her the attention of many people across the world including legendary Grammy award winning producer David Foster. Foster is known for producing several hits including ‘I Will Always Love You’ by the late Whitney Houston.
In 2015, she was selected as the International Judge for of the Zed Factor Talent Search Television show. Determined to make a positive difference in the world, she has also started her own foundation in Southern Africa which will be housing orphaned children and building schools in impoverished areas.
