Mayotte-born artist Zily, of Malagasy father and mother from Mayotte, is a committed woman embracing multiple cultures. Raised in the heart of Tsingoni village, she has always embodied the values and traditions of Mayotte—mutual aid, solidarity, and sharing—both in her music and in her persona. In her native Mayotte, she has developed her music career and proudly presents and upholds the image of a strong, ambitious, and proactive woman in both her artistic endeavors and daily life.

She represents the modern woman, loyal to her roots and origins. In a society where music is not taken seriously, or where culture is so embedded in daily life that it poses no challenge, Zily has chosen to professionalize the music sector, continuously elevating her culture through her melodies, lyrics, and attire. Blending genres (Afrobeat, Amapiano, pop) and traditional sounds, Zily has managed to bridge global divides while honoring her Mayotte and Madagascar heritage. Known as Queen Zily or the Diva, she challenges norms and inspires generations with her committed songs and vibrant, engaging shows.

In 2020, the launch of Yeka Music marked a turning point in Zily's career. This label, her own initiative, underscores her determination to transcend boundaries between Mayotte and the rest of the world. Yeka Music aims to be a flag-bearer for a Mahoran identity that is both embraced and proclaimed to the world.
Zily is also known for her signature gimmick, YEKA BABA—a rallying cry affirming the identity of Yeka Music, which could be translated as, "Behold the power and potential of our music ."

Artiste mahoraise de par sa mère et malgache de par son père, Zily est une femme engagée aux multiples cultures. Ayant grandi au cœur du village de Tsingoni, elle porte depuis toujours les valeurs et traditions de Mayotte, que ce soit à travers sa musique ou sa personne : l’entraide, la solidarité, le partage.
C’est au sein de son île natale, Mayotte, qu’elle développe sa carrière musicale, mais aussi qu’elle impose et assume avec fierté l’image d’une femme forte, ambitieuse et entreprenante, tant dans ses projets artistiques que dans son quotidien de femme.
Fusionnant les genres (afrobeat, amapiano, pop) et les sonorités traditionnelles, Zily a su aplanir les frontières à travers le monde tout en rendant hommage à son héritage de Mayotte et de Madagascar.
En 2020, la création de Yeka Music marque un tournant dans la carrière de Zily. Ce label, créé de sa propre initiative, illustre sa volonté d’aller plus loin en effaçant les frontières entre Mayotte et le reste du monde.
