Bio
Alfred Benjamin Crentsil, was born in Ghana in 1943 . After his education at the Reverend Cleveland Middle School, he worked as an electrical apprentice with Ghana Railways.
He started his musical career in the early 1960s as a guitarist in the Stroller's Dance Band. He was to play with a number of great Ghanaian bands, such as Sweet Talks, El-Dorado and eventually, with the Ahenfo band specialising in the highlife genre, as a vocalist and guitarist.
He soon established himself as one of Ghana's finest highlife musicians, releasing a string of hits over the years including 'Moses', 'Reminiscing in Tempo' and 'Adam and Eve'. He has won the Ghana Music Awards and the Fontonfrom Evergreen Award.
He has worked with Ghanaian rapper M.anifest on a remix of his old hit song 'Yewo adze Oye'.
