Ana Michela, is a singer and songwriter based in South Africa, whose music is a captivating fusion of influences inspired by her life experience as a woman of colour, cultured by her Portuguese & Mozambican heritage while living in South Africa.
With a voice as smooth as silk and hypnotic stage presence, Ana Michela crafts songs that emanate from a place of serene introspection, aimed at elevating collective consciousness to the ultimate truth, love. Through her music, she captures the vibrant spirit and atmosphere that envelops her creative journey. Some of her musical inspirations include Kelis, Adele, Amy Winehouse, No Name, Lorde, Sade and Erykah Badu to name a few. She fell in love with the profound beauty of storytelling through song at the tender age of 9 when she composed her first song and is a self taught musician. Boasting a distinctive style, she hopes that her music serves as a wellspring of inspiration for people of all intersections.
Ana Michela has released 3 singles on Soundcloud and YouTube, “Monopoly” being one with the most listens, Following with “Change”. She recently released another experimental single titled “ÁGUA” on popular streaming platforms, in 2023. Ana Michela is currently singing part time at local Restaurants and Markets, most recently at the 11Th Floor View, and The Art Garden ZA, and has recently released an EP titled L.I.T.T.
