Founded in 2006, Awesome Tapes from Africa is an online source of music from North, East, South and West African regions. The recordings are mostly commercial music dating back to the 1970s. The website also gives tour information of some of the artists listed. The recordings can be streamed from the ATA website. Brief bios on the music and artist are also given on the website.
