Aye Statik (aka X. Gerald Thanjekwayo) is a recording artist from Johannesburg, South Africa. His music is based on trap metal, emo trap, hip hop/rap and trap.

As a child, Aye Statik was exposed to rock, hip hop and alternative music, all of which have influenced his music today. His career started in 2017 after he quit skateboarding and started to focus on making music, drawing from diverse genres that also helped build his image and audience.
