Barathon Lane
Bio
Barathon Lane is a rock band from Casablanca, Morocco. The band's line-up includes Youssef Belmkadem (vocals & guitar), Ayoub Sahri (bass), Youssef 'Eli' Elidrissi (guitar, keys & backing vocals), Safouane Bentauet (drums) and Neyl Nejjai.
Founded in 2011, the band has developed a sound through the years, which is, as they like to call it, "a fine blend of different rock genres", referring to the various influences that shape their sound (Queens of the Stone Age, Oasis, Black Rebel Motorycle Club, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, etc).
In 2016, the band released their debut album 'Lush', which was independently recorded at Brace For Impact Studios in Morocco and which is available on various platforms, such and Bandcamp and YouTube.
The following year, Barathon Lane was invited to play at Morocco's biggest festival for local bands, L'Boulevard. Things then kept getting better as the band went on to perform for the first time in Europe, in Cadiz, Spain, where they had two dates.
To this day, the band is still active and constantly making new material in the hope of making more records and getting more shows.
