Big Gold Six

Big Gold Six is probably Zambia's oldest band after the Cool Nights. The only difference is that it is miraculously still alive. The outfit was founded by the late Nkhata who doubled as a director at the Zambian Broadcasting Service. The band started off as Lusaka Radio Band. The band promoted Zambian music, translating original rural recordings into Westernized scored music.
