Founded in 1965, the Daily News in Botswana is a daily publication published every week from Monday to Friday. It is one of the biggest newspapers in the country with a circulation of 80 000 copies per day. The newspaper covers news, business, politics, entertainment, sports and many other things.

The publication was established through the Department of Information Services following the split of the then Department of Information and Broadcasting into two departments. The department is made up of two main professional divisions: Botswana Press Agency (BOPA) and Publications. Supporting units include Photography, Graphics, Marketing, Publicity and Distribution.
