DJ Mofire

DJ Mofire shares her expertise as a Dj, Voice-over artist and Art Director in film. The infectious performer was born in Soweto. Her first taste of music came when she joined band named Scrapyard in Soweto, where she laced their kwaito tracks with her soulful voice. She was also lead singer in an Indie band - Uju.
Dj Mofire is a dancehall/afro beats Dj who often crosses over to House, Amapiano as well as old school kwaito and RnB.
She is pro women and advocates for gender equity in the music scene especially. She is the founder of Women in Reggae Production, which is a series of skills development workshops, events and an annual festival.
The songstress trained as a contemporary singer and went on to hone her craft by studying Jazz, perfecting her charm with the guitar. She further as a Dj at the Soul Candi Institute of Music in 2016.
