Don Luta
Bio
Aluta Nico Kopano Manale (b. June 18th, 2004), better known as Don Luta, is a rapper and songwriter who was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa.
He fell in love with Hip-Hop at a young age after being a fan of the first season of the hit South African Hip Hop TV show, Vuzu Hustle. He first went by the names, ASAP Luta, Alister Aluta, and Kevin Detroit before settling on the name, Don Luta, and by the age of thirteen would choose to pursue a career in music under the guidance of South African writer, publisher, blogger and epidemiologist, his older brother, Koketso Ragatji Fidel Thema as well as the well respected South African producer, DJ, Sound engineer and his older cousin DoouShii.
Raised by the sounds of J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Proverb, A-Reece, and Shane Eagle alongside J Dilla and 9th Wonder.
Don Luta would find the perfect balance between laid-back bars over ear-shattering boom-bap beats, rapid flows with the emergence of a bass line, and heart-piercing storytelling to complement a harmonious 90s hip-hop-inspired beat. His highly expressed admiration for conscious and lyrical rap would further establish this young Mc as the next big thing and possibly one of the greatest of his time ever to do it.
