Multiple award winning Edaoto Agbeniyi leads the world touring Edaoto & the Afrogenius Band. An 11pcs Afrobeat band
that propagates African aesthetics with a blend of intellectual engagement, plays Afrobeat in its folkloric
state and applies Yorùbá culture and artistic competence as a strategy for development.
In 2017, Ẹdaọtọ and the Afrogenius Band completed its European tour from the prestigious Ancienne Belgique, Brussels, Belgium as an opening act for the Arsenal Band.

Our band has graced several performance stages around the world with its original Afrobeat music.
Beautiful touring experience of the Band was also recorded on the tour of Ethiopia in Dec2013 – Jan2014.

Edaoto was an international guest at the Harare Int. Festival of the Art (HIFA2012)Zimbabwe,

Edaoto was part of the team of artistes that performed at the opening ceremony of the under 17 FIFAWorld Cup Nigeria 2009,

The Band is also a regular performer at the yearly Felabration Festival in Lagos.
Edaoto was also featured in a CNN Anthony Bourdain's documentary of 'Part's Unknown' in 2017

Indeed, The band has since transcended a commentary once made some years ago by an art critic 'Ropo Ewenla, that: 'Edaoto and the Afrogenius Band is a bomb awaiting explosion', the Guardian Newspaper.
