Eddie Black

Bio

Born on 29 April in a small town of itezhi-tezhi southern end of Zambia, Eddie Black (real name Nathaniel Edward Bangira Nchemba) is a hip-hop recording artist from Lusaka. His music career kicked off in 2011 when he met Erasto who admired his freestyle. This allowed him to produce his first demo songs namely ‘What’s The Name of The Game’ and ‘Rock n’ Rolla’. Both songs were released in 2011. That same year, he met Peezey Cables, a talented producer and songwriter who took him under his wing. The duo managed to launch a hit single titled ‘Bangumfweko’. The song received national airplay on both radio and television. Eddie subsequently signed to Money Music Records.

Eddie went on to release visuals of his single ‘Bangumfweko’. The move prompted local radio and television stations to play the single. The song took the local hip-hop scene by storm as it aired on every TV station across the country and became the most talked about hip-hop video on Zambian streets. This was followed by another single titled ‘I Am The New Phenomenon’. He went on to collaborate with acts such as The Kicks on a song called ‘Sunrise to Sunset’ which also features Peezey Cables on the ‘Done & Dusted Mixtape’. Some of the tracks he has released are ‘Ili Che’ featuring Peezey Cables and the legendary Macky II.
