Gasper Nali
Bio
Gasper Nali is a musician from Malawi. He is an internet sensation whose short clip of him performing on the shores of Lake Malawi was released on YouTube in 2010. Wired for Sound, a solar-powered mobile recording studio run by members of the popular South African band Freshlyground (Simon Attwell and Julio Sigauque), managed to track Gasper down and recorded with him in Nkhata Bay. He has a song called 'Malawi More Fire' which was recorded by Wired for Sound and featured on the Wired for Sound - Malawi CD. Gasper has a giant handmade bass guitar with one string, which he plays with a glass bottle thus creating an electric sound.
