Hamptons Jazz Festival

The Hamptons Jazz Festival is an event in Botswana. The event is the brainchild of Debbie Makabe Smith and Starr Ngwenya. In addition, Hamptons provides VIP tents with champagne, wine and food initiatives. The event offers a carnival of sensations and focuses on live music but spreads its wings far beyond the conventional definition of a festival, instead immersing its Hamptonettes fans into in an euphoria of joy and happiness.

Artists or musicians and entertainers combine in an event which enjoys the company of music tourists travelling from the four corners of the world to be mesmerized by the likes of legends Hugh Masekela, Stimela, Mango groove, CaiphusSememnya, LettaMbulu, Nathi, Shanti Lo,Mahotella Queens,NnunuRamogotsi, TsepoTshola, Freshly Ground.

Hamptons Jazz Festival aims to be representative of a historic moment in which Botswana is seen as the destination for Jazz intellectuals. The events allow people to revel in cultural refinement, whilst relaxing with a glass of wine or cold beverage whilst they go about enjoying the music. However, don’t be put off if you aren’t a Jazz music expert, as the atmosphere of the Hamptons is one which can be enjoyed by all and is perhaps one of the best inductions into musical spheres you could have.

This annual gathering has become more of a reunion – a celebration with friends, family, culture, music, and a way of life in Botswana.
