Jennifer Maneni
Bio
Jennifer Maneni is a gospel artist from Zimbabwe who developed interet in music at a tender age. She Attended School in Highfield. She ventured into music after high school. She began as a session artist and as a backing vocalist. Her debut album was Fambai Neni released in 2009. Some of the popular tracks on the album are ‘Handimbomira Kunamata’, ‘Ndoita Sei’ and ‘Inondodzimaidza’. This was followed by ‘Total Recovery’ that carried tracks such as ‘Umire Papi’ (Tsotso Muzhira) and ‘Tatenda’.
In 2015, she launched a ten-track third album titled ‘His Grace’. In June 2013, she won US$10 000 after coming fourth in a race that honoured local musicians who recorded demo songs for this year’s 20th session of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) general assembly that was held in the country. She has worked with many musicians in the gospel music industry including Mercy Mutsvene, Pastor Haisa, Lucky Mabhande, Diana Mabika, Setina Mandivheyi, Dona Chibaya and Joyce Simeti to mention but a few. She has spent many years as a backing vocalist for several gospel musicians.
