John Madubeko

John Madubeko is a blind musician from Gweru, Zimbabwe.

When John became blind, he started begging people for help to earn a living but later decided to join the industry and start use his talent to earn a living. He started singing in 1996 but had challenges recording his album. In January 2017, he released his much-anticipated album 'Hossana' after two decades of joining the music industry. Popularly known as Big Dhara, Madubeko has endeared himself to Gweru music lovers with his guitar and his 10-year-old son’s drumming prowess. His album was recorded at Ghetto Studios in Gweru.
