Joy Divine Singers
Bio
Joy Divine Singers is a Namibian gospel group that was founded in 2005 by Leon Beukes, Minden Cloete and Issascar Bock. It was established with the aim of enhancing professionalism in the local gospel industry. In 2009 the group began its productions courtesy of the National Arts Council (NACN), Bank of Windhoek, and National Arts Extension Programme (NAEP). The group managed to come up with two concerts, namely The Dream Concert and the Community Gospel Concert.
On 2 October 2010, Joy Divine Singers and NAEP staged the Community Outreach Festival at the Katutura Community Arts Centre. The Dream Concert was held on the same day at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) in Windhoek. That year they also hosted five members of the South African gospel outfit Joyous Celebration at an event in Nelspruit, South Africa. On 14 November 2014, they opened the second semi-final of the Joyful Sound Choir.
