Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Kay Wan is a Zambian hip-hop artist born on the 11th of November in Lusaka. He attended Chikankata Boarding School in Zambia. He draws his music inspiration from a U.S. hip-hop artist called Ludacris. His interest and passion for music began at Chikankata School. He is known for doing tracks with a music group called Amayzing. Together with the group, they did a track called ‘Take You There’. The collaboration saw them winning the 2010 African Entertainment Award Southern African Act in Malaysia.
Some of his popular hits are ‘Basiye Bakambe’ and ‘Let Them Talk’. He has recorded and released songs such as ‘Roll It Girl’, ‘History’ featuring Micah, ‘Zed Swagga’ and ‘Throw Tha Money’. He has also featured on several songs with artists such as Britella, S-realla, Sep D, Micah, Amayzing and other enowned African artists in Malaysia.
