Kizimkazi Cultural Music Festival

Kizimkazi Cultural Music Festival, having first started in 2008, is a newcomer to the music festivals of Zanzibar.

Taking place yearly towards the end of December, it's certainly worth attending as it features an impressive line-up of Tanzanian musicians showcasing diverse music styles.

A multitude of activities are also offered during the course of the festival, and these include henna and batik painting, coil rope making, musical instrument instruction among many others.
