Bio
Okyere is better known by his stage name as Kodbass, a Ghanaian musician, instrumentalist, producer and arranger. Born in Ashanti Region, Ghana, and raised in Kumasi. He started doing music when He was nine years old in his mother church, The Salvation Army Church central corps in Kumasi, Ghana. He officially came out as a musician in 2006 when he joined a group called New creation in Kumasi. After he decided to read music as an area of study at the University of Education winneba for his first degree and currently reading Mphil program in music composition in the same university of Education winneba.
Okyere is a young talented musician who has worked with many people around the world. He’s worked with great gospel musicians including Rv Moses Ok, Diana Hopeson, Selina Boateng, Ernest Opoku, Oware Junior, O.J, Victoria Sarfo, Noble Nketia, Ike Osei, Isaac Amo, Bro Philemon Ackon (China) Goddey Nyametea and among other gospel musicians in Ghana. Currently he with a group called Chorkor Jazz Band as their official bassist.
