Kraumur Music Fund

Founded in 2008, the Kraumur Music Fund is an independent foundation that was founded by the Aurora Charity Fund a non-profit foundation supporting cultural and social projects in Iceland and Africa. It was established as a pilot project for three years. The idea behind its formation is to reinforce music through supporting young musicians in performing and presenting their works. The funding will assist to strengthen the position of young musicians through direct grants, professional assistance, and various forms of cooperation.

The organization has played a big role in funding artists across the world, Malawi included. Apart from funding music related projects, its parent organization the Aurora Charity Fund channels its funds towards education. On 23 January 2008, it made the decision to finance a children‘s wing at the Mangochi District Hospital in Malawi.
