Kwabena Danso
Bio
Kwabena Danso is a multi-layered Ghanaian musician, poet, artist and photographer. He started his career, deejaying even before he turned 10 and grew over the years to become one of the strong forces in the Ghanaian underground music scene, performing under the stage name JaHWI.
His eclectic range of musical output has ranged from collaborations with Ghanaian Hip-hop legend, Wanlov Da Kubolo, recording and performing Reggae and on to a period of formal tutelage as a student of the great Seprewa (ancient Ghanaian traditional Harp) Master- Osei Korankye.
He attended both New York University and the Tisch School of Arts, and currently sits as Art Director, at the Centre for Contemporary Art, Ghana.
