The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Arts and Culture strives for prosperity and social cohesion through arts and culture. Its mission is to provide world class services in arts and culture for the people of KwaZulu-Natal by: developing and promoting arts and culture in the Province and mainstreaming its role in social development; developing and promoting the previously marginalized languages and enhancing the linguistic diversity of the province; collecting, managing and preserving archival, museum and other forms of information resources; and integrating and providing seamless art and culture services to the communities of the province.
