Bio

Lidj Abebaw is an upcoming Reggae superstar from Ethiopia with a superior sound representing the Ethiopian Reggae fraternity. His first official reggae tune called 'Ayteshign endalayesh' has resonated with so many Reggae fans across the world. The song has a unique Ethiopian feel.

Lidj Abebaw also has done a dancehall song called 'Munaye' which samples from the larger beat 'Bumaye’ And he does not disappoint with his techniques.

Lidj has also done numerous demo projects for promotional purposes on different sites and with different producers. He works with different Ethiopian reggae bands like Geez Roots imperial majestic and Tikur Anbesa

The singer was born in Arbaminch city south of Ethiopia in 1990. He schooled from grade one to five in Arbaminch and moved to Awassa city with his family in 2003. He continued his education in Awassa, where he was also involved with different humanitarian clubs. He started signing in grade 11 in a preparatory high school called Hawassa Tabor. His first studio experience was in 2009 in a demo single called 'Ketema fikir'. After completing grade 12 he joined Addis Ababa Univesty. He recorded with Ethiopian hip hop legendary crew Gamo Boyz with Yoni Gamo and Sami Goo in the demo single called 'Techno gamo'.

He also released 'Yandinet tigil' for the African Union golden jubilee in 2013. Most of his works were demos and unfinished works because of financial problems. But 'Ayteshin endalayesh' came out as his first official single and he is currently looking for producers to introduce Ethiopian reggae internationally.
