Luntha TV

Luntha TV is a private television in Malawi. It focuses is on broadcasting Christian related content. The station is owned by the Roman Catholic Church in Malawi. The station received its license from the Malawi Communication Regulatory Authority in 2005. It began broadcasting from its Kuwala studios, Ulongwe on 27 May 2007. In August 2008, the station relocated to its new studios in Balaka.

It covers the country’s eastern and southern regions. It also covers parts of Ntcheu and Dedza areas. The station has done a number of productions both in English and Chichewa languages. Though its productions have an element of Christianity, different organisations use them as teaching, promotion and counselling tools.

Every Sunday, the station broadcasts a gospel music show called ‘Timuimbire’. The program features gospel music videos, artists and groups, gospel music news and discussions on related topics.
