Nyege Nyege International Music Festival

NyegeNyege International Music Festival is a three-day international/regional arts and music extravaganza held in Jinja, Uganda.
It is organized and curated by the Boutique Foundation, a community-based organization from Kampala, Uganda that aims to develop the culture industry in Uganda by creating conducive platforms and opportunities for upcoming artists.

The festival aims to connect critically acclaimed underground musicians from around the continent with each other and with producers and musicians working with African music outside the continent. The festival is also associated with Ugandan Tape Label, Nyege Nyege Tapes that releases outsider music from around East Africa.

The event showcases diverse underground music scenes across Africa. The event brings together over 300 critically acclaimed instrumentalists, producers, bands, emcees and deejays from across the continent for three days of non-stop music celebration on over nine acres of forest at the source of Nile River.
