Music 4 Malawi

Music 4 Malawi is a music education program for underprivileged children and musicians in HIV/AIDS afflicted places. It is situated in the Thyolo region, an area that suffers from the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the country. Through music classes, the organisation act as a source of happiness for people through opening their eyes to new possibilities.

The project is courtesy of KOMAI an organization in Malawi that builds social projects with creative impact. It provides underprivileged children and musicians with knowledge and hope. It also conserves the country’s tradition and culture.

Musicians who are part of the project get teaching income, training and access to a recording studio. As such, musicians are given the opportunity to grow and document their traditional sound for the generations to come.
